Edwin RodriguezManager
Rodriguez returns to manage the Hoppers after a 71-69 record last season. He previously spent two seasons as manager of the Marlins’ Gulf Coast League affiliate from 2005-06 and served as hitting coach for Double-A Carolina in 2004.
Prior to joining the Marlins organization, Rodriguez enjoyed successful managerial careers with the Princeton Devil Rays (2000-2002)of the Appalachian League and the Hudson Valley Renegades (1999) of the New York-Penn League.
Edwin began his professional career in 1980 when he was drafted by the New York Yankees. The Ponce, Puerto Rico native spent time in Greensboro early in his career, playing roughly 100 games at War Memorial Stadium with the Greensboro Hornets. He received a late-September call up to replace an injured Willie Randolph, but was traded to the San Diego Padres the next year.
